Guitar/Bass/Ukulele/Song Writing Lessons

I am currently employed as a music teacher in Glasgow Music School and teach a range of classes for Glasgow School of Guitar. Other organisations that I'm involved with include Barnardo's and The Clutha Trust. I also teach from home most week days and a few nights a week. I'm always keen to take on new students when I have free slots and can be contacted at dave081082@hotmail.com for more info. Guitar is my speciality but I also teach bass, ukulele and song writing to advanced levels.

I teach all popular styles of music, including rock, blues, metal, jazz, funk and classical. Most of the private lessons I teach are one to one, though small group lessons can be made available for groups of friends, family etc. My lessons are open to anyone and no experience is necessary. I'm highly experienced teaching all skill levels, from advanced students to absolute beginners.

Lesson plans vary from student to student, depending on individual goals, musical tastes and previous experience. A complete beginner starting music lessons with me will leave their first lesson being able to play a couple of simple riffs, learn their first couple of chords and know exactly what to practice at home to achieve maximum results.  I can provide a spare guitar for the first couple of lessons for anyone who hasn't purchased one yet.

While working my way from NQ to Honours Degree level in Music Performance, I received 5 years worth of guitar lessons. I was lucky enough to be taught by some of the best teachers and players in the country. The lessons I received massively pushed my playing forward and I am totally committed to ensuring my own students receive the same high standard of tuition.
